I have to say, this is one of my most favourite places to be!!
Once I’d decided to pursue becoming a professional chocolatier after 25 years of military service, I then had to figure out how to make that happen. I spent quite some time learning a lot of it on my own, not really sure if I was headed in the right direction.
After some searching and having heard nothing back from some big organisations, I finally came across the name Andrew Thwaite.
Within 5 minutes of being on the phone to Andrew I knew that this was the place for me to train, learn and to take my skills to the next level. Andrew’s infectious personality and passion for all things chocolate will have even the most inexperienced chocolatier at ease.
I have attended several classes at the academy now and the skills and knowledge I have acquired from both Andrew and the amazing external instructors he brings in have been invaluable.
The academy has become a place where I feel at home and happy every time I set foot through the door. Andrew has created a space for any budding, enthusiastic, or even the most experienced chocolatier to train and learn more and I am so pleased I have been a part of seeing that come alive.
Andrew has become not only a trainer and mentor for me, but more importantly, a great friend. I challenge anyone to not fall in love with him and listen intently to his many fascinating stories.
Anyone who has a passion for chocolate should train or attend a course here at least once. I guarantee you’ll be back!!
