Emma Baravelli

Emma Baravelli

Art, Music, food and fashion were all important to Emma in her formative years. She earned a degree in Fashion and Textiles at Winchester School of Art and went on to freelance as a textile designer for 10 years selling mainly in the United States.

Emma is now a multi award winning Chocolatier and finds that she can bring many of her skills together to produce edible works of art. She still enjoys designing and painting the more lasting pieces you will find here.

Inspiration comes from current affairs, fashion, history, music and sometimes just her love of colour be it vibrant or subtle. She loves designing in collections and often likes to tell a story which she believes gives the viewer a more intimate connection with the piece.

Baravelli’s hold over 50 awards for their recipes including International Chocolate Awards, The Academy of Chocolate, Great Taste and Wales the True Taste. They are pioneers in leading the trends of both flavour and design in chocolate and their mission is to bring creativity in fine chocolate along with great customer service and attention to detail to their customers.

Baravelli’s have partnered with many top British stores such as Harrod’s and Selfridges to design and produce their exclusive top end, designer Easter Eggs. They are now highly sought after in this field and their Easter Eggs are purchased by celebrities.

They were one of the ten Extreme Chocolatiers who appeared on the Channel 4 programme in 2019 and are currently appearing on The Wonderful World of Chocolate on Channel 5. Both shows feature incredible things made out of chocolate, are airing internationally and have helped to increase an already very strong international profile. Their products have been listed in some of the top international publications such as The Telegraph, The Times, The Observer, Vogue, Tatler, La Vanguardia and Crea Magazine.

Baravelli’s were the first in Wales to produce “Bean to Bar” chocolate and they still pride themselves in making absolutely everything they sell on the premises. They currently hold the top slot on Trip Advisor for shopping in Conwy and were recently awarded an Arts in Business and Tourism Award by Go North Wales. They are now one of the top reasons people visit Conwy. Baravelli’s never miss an opportunity to promote this magical town and are proud to be a part of this vibrant business community.
