Andrew is the proud owner of the Yorkshire Academy of Chocolate & Patisserie and Andrew Thwaite Chocolatier. With over 35 years’ experience in food and hospitality, 20 of those involved directly in the chocolate and confectionery industry.
Andrew trained as a chef, specialising in patisserie and chocolate, and has utilised these skills in many different roles including working for Barry-Callebaut, the world’s largest chocolate manufacturer.
In recent years Andrew has focused on a range of bespoke training courses aimed at professionals as well as consultancy on chocolate and confectionery production.
He has travelled extensively all over the world visiting many of the best cocoa growing regions as well as chocolate producers.
He brings this wealth of knowledge and experience to the Yorkshire Academy of Chocolate & Patisserie where he hopes to educate and inspire; whether you are a beginner, hobbyist, or seasoned professional.
Andrew will be bringing together some of the best chefs and tutors in the business to deliver a vibrant and exciting program of courses at the Academy.
Andrew will be teaching several courses himself, as well as hosting a new and exciting program of food and drink-based events.
